Construction Advantages

As a locally owned and operated Florida Homebuilder, the heritage that goes into Cross Vine Homes stretches over 60 years. Our experience in the Build On Your Lot industry is just one of the many advantages of building a Cross Vine Home. Speaking of advantages, each home receives the following items and many many more:
  • Dual Pane Low E windows

Low E glass has the ability to allow visible light to pass while blocking energy in the form of UV light and Infrared light. In the Summer this helps to keep your house cooler, as the heat from objects outside is kept outside. In the Winter, your heat is bounced back into your home by the low E glass.  - Back to Top -

Reduce the amount of energy it takes to heat and cool your house.
Reduce your monthly heating and cooling utilities.
  • Dual Zone Variable Speed Air Handlers with Dehumidifiers

Variable motor speeds offer better control and efficiency by helping your system run at the speed it needs to run at to meet the current load demand. They also can remove up to 30 times more humidity than a standard air handler. It is important to compare apples to apples when shopping, so know that the air control in our homes is unlike almost all of the competition.
The handler provides more even temperatures from floor to ceiling and from room to room. This also allows you to filter the indoor air 100% of the time instead of just when the system is running. The units are also much quieter since they slowly ramp up and down, when coming on or turning off~ rather than very quickly like standard units do. We pay the extra costs at installation so the system will pay for itself by saving you money in energy costs over the long term.  - Back to Top -

"Continually monitors your home's comfort levels and adjusts itself for maximum efficiency and performance" (Carrier web site).
Programmable thermostat adjusts heating and cooling to match YOUR schedule, saving money by running less when you're not home.
  • Security System

Ensuring the safety and security of your family, home and valued personal possessions is extremely important. Be secure with our built in system which comes with every home. Each moveable window and door is monitored and your home is also equipped with a motion sensor.  - Back to Top -

Helps protect your biggest investment and the valuables in your home and may lower your insurance costs.
  • MultiZone programmable irrigation system

Installation of our system is provided at final grade where heads and drip lines are utilized in conjunction with planned landscape beds and grass/sod areas . We use only Rainbird digital controllers for every system. This latest digital technology ensures accurate time and metering of zone watering for seasonal changes. Battery back-ups will maintain proper programs during short or prolonged Power Outages.
Drip irrigation is the most efficient irrigation method for trees, shrubs, and most bed areas. This technique provides the correct amount of watering needed by these areas and at the system. This also helps prevent premature mulch rot due to surface moisture. Each system comes with Auto Shut-Off Rain Sensors which help us all conserve resources and promote proper watering.  - Back to Top -
  • Patented Pest Ban Tubes

TAEXX, the original Tubes in the Wall® system, was designed to create a real barrier that keeps pests on the outside of your home, and your family securely nestled within. TAEXX is a network of tiny tubes that run throughout designated walls of your home. This network sets up a virtual barrier that keeps unwanted guests out – and strikes them where they’re the most vulnerable. Taexx is an effective service because pest control materials hit bugs where they live, hide, and breed - inside the walls. Materials remain effective longer because they're not exposed to sunlight.  - Back to Top -

There is no longer a need to spray harmful chemicals inside your home; the system attacks bugs inside the walls from the outside of your home.
  • FGBC Green Certification

The FGBC Green Home Standards indicate the criteria by which a Florida home, new or existing, can be designated green. By choosing to build green, we have chosen to reduce the burden on the environment and add value to your home through a voluntary Florida green home designation as administered by the Florida Green Building Coalition. There are a couple nationwide green certifications to choose from, but the defining element of the FBGC standards is that they have been developed to address Florida’s unique climatic conditions.  - Back to Top -

FGBC requires more earth friendly and sustainable products for the homes specifically built in the Florida Climate.
Helps reduce your carbon footprint along with the costs associated in owning a home.
  • Energy Star Qualification

To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20-30% more efficient than standard homes. Compared with standard homes, ENERGY STAR qualified homes use substantially less energy for heating, cooling, and water heating-delivering $200 to $400 in annual savings.  - Back to Top -

Requires the use of energy efficient products that reduce your cost of ownership.
  • Plush Landscaping

We all strive to add value to our assets and landscaping is an art which we’ve researched and learned can enhance the use of the property. Typically landscaping is not looked at as a weighing feature in prospective buyer’s minds. It is important that the outside of the home looks beautiful as well as the inside. We therefore furnish our homes with beautiful, seasonal plants and greenery. Well placed trees and shrubbery allow your home to blend into the surroundings and be very appealing.  - Back to Top -
